c) Practice your first letter with a concept of your choice (Ex. why you should get to leave class early or why admin should let you walk the halls as you need)
d) Cover Letter for Summer Job - Mr. Nice Guy Enterprise Corp.
*Create a list of 10 of your best qualities /attributes/ experiences you would want an employer to know about. (Then circle 3-5 of them that would pertain to the potential job descriptions below. )
*Write a rough copy of a LETTER that highlights your best qualities and strengths as an individual as if you were applying to work for Mr. Neuendorff as his part time assistant. (Make it look like a cover letter and fill ONE page.)
***Do a cover letter search on Google and read a couple of examples. PAY ATTENTION TO THE STRUCTURE of the examples.
Job Description (s) =
a) Helping to manage his soccer teams (equipment, attend games and practices, scheduling, parent contact, fee collection)
b) Landscaping/General home cleaning and maintenance at his 3 acre property on weekends from 7am to 1pm (snow shoveling/cutting grass/weeding the garden/painting, minor repairs, cleaning car),
c) Helping Mr. N as an academic assistant (marking, prep work, research, website upkeep, parent communication)
d)Weekly babysitter for his two young children after school and on Saturday nights for 6 hours.
e) Private Chef and Server (Prepping and cooking for weekly functions, service to guests, clean-up and take-down)
PAY = 18 dollars an hour PLUS a monthly bonus for being punctual and completing ALL desired tasks.
Hours = Approx. 20 hours a week.

b) Choose ONE letter to perfect and one can stay a work in progress or you can just submit as a picture

Project Based Learning: Final Project of the Semester

Option 10 = Mindful Practices: Research and read/view a variety of mindful practices. Then create a 10-15 day challenge for yourself that focuses on you well being. Record/reflect/bog as a part of the daily routine and when you have completed the challenge.
Note: If you are unclear on what to do, please message me or come and see me asap so we can begin to structure your idea.

Step 3 (Show me your progress by January 10): Project Progress Report (Template and Sample Evidence)
You will be required to show me a sample of some of the work you have done thus far for your project and include a list of the final steps you will need to complete your project by _______. I have included the progress template (on the link above) that will ask you to provide details and evidence of what you have; researched, physically created, pictures, videos, notes, lists, samples etc. This is going to count for 25% of the final project mark so please ensure you are doing more than just cutting and pasting information or I will ask you to re-submit with more details.
Assessment: 3 Steps (Outcomes vary according to project)
-Proposal and letter = /5
-Progress Template and Evidence = /5
-Final Product = /10
Final grade = /20 AND you will be assessed on the research, formal/reflective writing, speaking and visual representation outcomes that you hit in both the process and final product.
